Celebrating the Past While Transforming Futures:
Children's Home Network Celebrates 125 Years of Service
A lot has changed in the world since we opened our hearts and our home to orphaned and abandoned children in 1892. Over a century later, we have changed, too. Children's Home Network has evolved into a multi-faceted organization that serves nearly 25,000 children and families each year throughout Central Florida through innovative programs and services that have a positive impact on not only those we serve, but the entire community.
To commemorate 125 years of service, we plan to celebrate the milestone by devoting the entire year to honoring our dedicated supporters, loyal partners, employees, and valued children and families at special scheduled events.
125th Anniversary Luncheon
The highlight event will be our celebratory 125th Anniversary Luncheon presented by The Vinik Family Foundation, Jeff and Penny Vinik, Trustees, on Thursday, May 11, 2017, from 11:30am – 1:30pm at The DoubleTree Hotel in Tampa, as we celebrate the past, rejoice in the present and create a foundation for the future - one filled with hope for the children of our community. Special guest speaker will be Regina Calcaterra, co-author of Girl Unbroken, A Sister’s Harrowing Story of Survival from the Streets of Long Island to the Farms of Idaho, which she co-wrote with her sister Rosie Maloney and author of her New York Times Best Selling memoir Etched in Sand, A True Story of Five Siblings Who Survived an Unspeakable Childhood on Long Island.
