As summer winds down and a new school year approaches, families across our community are preparing for a fresh start. While many children are wrapping up vacations and looking forward to seeing friends and teachers again, countless families are facing a different reality. They are wondering whether their children will have the resources, support, and confidence they need to start school ready to learn.
Your support today can help more children enter school ready to learn and provide the essentials children need to begin the school year with confidence.
• $100 provides a durable backpack that will last throughout the school year, school uniform, including a shirt and pants, for one child.
• $250 equips one child with a complete back-to-school package, including a uniform, backpack, and essential school supplies, including binders, notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, and other classroom necessities.
• $500 provides five school uniforms, backpack, and essential school supplies for one child.
• $1000 includes above as well as a general donation to support CHN programs
For a child, these essentials mean more than new clothes and school supplies. They mean walking into the classroom with confidence, feeling included alongside classmates, and being ready to learn from the very first day. The boys and girls we serve receive just a $300 clothing allowance for the entire year. As children grow, outgrow shoes, and need clothing for different seasons and school activities, that amount simply doesn't stretch very far. Your generosity helps fill those gaps, providing at-risk youth and families throughout Hillsborough County with the essentials children need to feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn.
